This is a drawing i just finished of Syd Barrett (real name Roger Keith Barrett), from the band Pink Floyd. I adore him :3 And, i was debating on naming this piece "Piper at the Gates of Dawn"

THIS IS DONE IN PENCIL, NOT CHARCOAL! so don't ask if it's charcoal XD

And, this is the second person i've ever drawn. the first human i've drawn was John Lennon. And you can definately see an improvement :3

Anyway, now for the pic description. please read it

Do you see the whitish lines where his jacket thing is? Those aren't supposed to be there, but my damn scanner RAPED this >.>; that's all solid blackish, but alas, there were wrinkles in the paper and my scanner had to be a bitch and pick up the shine. So that's why there's streaks when there shouldn't be any. damn scanner *kills scanner*
i spent a few good hours on this, trying to get it right. and no, it's not perfect. the eyes are a tiny bit too close together, and the right eye is a tiny bit too far down -_-;;; but i did my best to make it look right.
But yes, i love Syd. He;s the founder of Pink Floyd, and the one who had a nervous breakdown from drugs and got kicked out...it's so sad... mrrrr...

But now i shall leave you with some song lyrics that go with the picture, because i named this pic after the song. Why? Roger Waters, also from Pink Floyd, wrote this about and for Syd. There's a story that goes with this song, but i don't feel like writing it.
